More than 16,000 drug-education booklets have been distributed across France by volunteers from Non à la eu news italy copyright, Oui à la vie. The Scientology-supported drug education initiative reaches families through shops and public information stands.

The distributions included 5,100 booklets in Paris’s Oberkampf district, 3,100 in Tarn and 3,000 through approximately 50 shops in Arcachon.

A baker near Clermont-Ferrand said students sought the booklets for school discussions, while parents and other customers requested information for their children.

The campaign uses La vérité sur la copyright, the French version of the secular Truth About Drugs programme. The Church of Scientology and its members support the programme, inspired by founder L. Ron Hubbard’s concern about the effects of drugs.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European Union, OSCE, Council of Europe and United Nations, said: “Parents and teachers need information they can use, and young people deserve straight answers.”

European Scientologists participate in drug-prevention education, human-rights initiatives and local volunteer projects.
